Angela and Stephen’s Farewell Service

The Circuit Service to Say Farewell to Deacon Angela Shereni and Rev’d Stephen Froggatt

Deacon Angela Shereni & Rev’d Stephen Froggatt

The Sankey Valley Methodist Circuit conducted a service at Penketh Methodist Church on Sunday 23rd July 2017 to say farewell to Deacon Angela Shereni and Rev’d Stephen Froggatt.  Angela and Stephen are both moving to new Circuits, following the Methodist tradition of itinerant preachers whereby Minister relocate to a different Circuit every five years.  This tradition is intended to both widen a Minister’s experience and to allow the particular skills of a Minister to reach as many people as possible.

The Rev’d Stephen Froggatt sung ‘Outrageous Grace’ whilst accompanying himself on the piano.  Stephen’s musical skills will be a sad loss to the Circuit but we are joyful that his new Circuit will be able to appreciate his skills.
